www.ap210.orgSTEP for ElectronicsSTEP is the acronym for the international standard ISO 10303 Industrial automation systems and integration - Product data representation and exchange. STEP-AP210 (ISO 10303-210:2001E) is a part of STEP on Electronic Assembly Interconnect and Packaging Design. The purpose of this web site is to give further background information on AP210, complementary to the standard itself. This website was initialized in April 2003 and is managed by members of the EM Pilot team of PDES, Inc. It intends to collect all public STEP-AP210 activities, documents, tutorials, papers, and so on. The current version deals primarily with an interim version of the standard beyond Edition 1. Publication of Edition 2 is expected in 2006, with initial versions of Edtion 2 tools becoming available in May, 2006. This framework can be applied to support model based engineering. The framework extends beyond traditional cad applications and bridges the gap between industrial practice, cad and pdm implementations. ![]() This approach enables design build teams to reengineer their design and manufacturing processes. It allows the integration of system, mechanical, electrical and manufacturing information into a highly efficient and repeatable process. Resulting in a significant positive effect on the organizations profitability and ability to deliver product to market. ![]() STEP AP 210 PCA Design Information The main sections of the web-site are Created by: Russell Peak last modification: Tuesday 11 of April, 2006 [02:58:00 UTC] by Russell Peak |
